MY CHILD IS DESPERATE TO GET INTO RACING - I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE TO START!
The first thing we would suggest you do is do a 1-1 Development day at Blyton with us to see if your child likes it and is ready for it - link available >>
Then you will need to arrange for them to obtain their ARDS Licence.
You will need to get a Starter Pack from Motorsport UK.
Then choose where you want to take your ARDS test - we'd recommend Anglesey, Croft or Thruxton. Links are available under the next section.
Once this is done you are ready to go racing!

HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO JOIN THE JSCC & HOW MUCH IS A SEASON?
You can race in the JSCC from the age of 14. Your ARDS can be taken when you are 13 ½ and you can do testing on some circuits with an A or S Grade Instructor.
The cost of a season is around £40k.

Yes, we run a scholarship every year. This is a day held at Pembrey Circuit in Wales, where all entrants go up against each other in different sessions during the a day including

Driving
They are pointed through the day and the one with the most points is the winner.

You will need a full FIA kit to go Junior Racing. This includes:
Helmet
Race Overalls
Fireproof Underwear
Racing Boots
Racing Gloves

There are many places available to buy your race kit. We'd recommend Demon Tweeks or Grand Prix Racewear.

IS THERE ANYTHING WE CAN DO AT HOME TO TRAIN OR SUPPORT THE JOURNEY?
We recommend that you have a SIM so your child can practice at home. We have a connection with Perfect acceleration who provide fantastic Rig set ups.

Our season starts late March to November with 8 rounds in that time.

WOULD YOU RECOMMEND ANY COACHES THAT CAN TRAIN WITH MY CHILD?
You must use an A & S grade instructor we would recommend you use one with the MUK Coaching badge but this isn’t essential.
